Education tourism promotion, Oulu Region in Finland

This is EU funded project for Oulu Region in Finland. Oulu is beautiful industry and university city, but the location is middle Finland,1 hour flight from Helsinki and under Finnish Lapland. Our strategy to promote Oulu Regionwas to go to blue ocean, we proposed to promote this areaby education tourism, industry tourism(Technical visit) and nature tourism to be combined with other two products. Even Finland was well known as her high quality education, no destinations were promoted officially as destination of education tourism. Together with Attractive Oulu Region team, we successfully involve local education officials to build up unique products. Starting in 2016, there are already concrete result and overnights in Oulu 2019 jumped up by 46%.
