Founded in 2010, Foresight Marketing is a tourism marketing company in Japan. We offer comprehensive marketing and representation services to governmental tourism organizations and tourism promotion projects that wish to promote destinations in the Japanese market. Our current clients include  governmental  organizations  from Finland, Baltic States, Bhutan and EU projects. We ensure success of clients’  goals through our deep understanding of the market and extensive range of contacts in the Japanese industry and media.

I started my carrier of tourism promotion at Visit Finland as marketing manager in 1994 after working for a major Japanese travel agency for 10 years. At that time, Finland had only 55,000 overnights by Japanese travelers and now she is outstandingly No.1 destination among Scandinavian area with 215,000 overnights, 45 weekly direct flights. The Japanese market is one of top 3 prime markets for Finland. After re-organization of Visit Finland in 2009, I established Foresight Marketing Co., Ltd. and started to promote other countries such as Baltic states and EU projects. 

Foresight Marketing is experienced and innovative tourism management company.Our expertise is to promote the destination with new angle with unique promotional method and manage it. We always try to find out new charm of destination with new products, which nobody has paid attention before. Also we are very good at providing solution of seasonality of the destination with product development and making it as flat as possible. Naturally we have wide network in travel trade and press, good command for PR activities, capability of creative digital marketing such as social network channels and market analysis based on consumer data.   

Our final target is to design our customer success both in home country and the Japanese market. Nowadays tourism promotion is shifting to strategical tourism management to get the best result from quality travelers. We are ready to work with you to go for it.

Shigeyoshi Noto has been working for Finnish Tourist Board and Visit Finland for more than 20 years and Latvian Tourism Development Agency for 6 years. Both organization set the number of overnights as key performance indicators. The results are as follows.  Also we made successful products development especially to flatten seasonality such as the northern light and Scandinavian design.

We have more than 800 key contacts in travel trade and 300 press contacts. Our specialization in the tourism industry has enabled us to develop extensive range of travel industry and media contacts. Also we keep not only big number but also deep contacts with key planners and important editors in magazines.
